In the times we live today, many people are led astray due to the corrupt messages displayed in songs, television, and in their own backyard. Most materialistic Hip Hop artists follow trends, but Maddness chooses to take a stand against the forces that be. He crafts deep thought-provoking messages in his music to ignite change amongst people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds from all walks of life. His music stands for reality and the hidden truths about life that many need to hear because people relate to what is real. Maddness is laced with reality base situations he has truly seen to making music from the heart. During his journey in gaining the respect as a talented independent artist from the District of Columbia, SE, he stays true to his calling by continuing to represent those in the struggle searching for a positive way out while maintaining one’s soul.

His fourteen track masterpiece gives the ingredients of all the different sides that makes up who Maddness really is today with his forthcoming album, “Method to Maddness,” releasing in mid- September. With several singles and music videos from the album underway, he will set off the album with his newest debut single, “Maddness Dieing Breed” that sheds light on the core of our humanity. A dying mind set, style, and way of living builds bridges to tear down one’s intellect or skill sets. Maddness will be revealing the single snippet teaser, then releasing his music video on Vevo, while hitting the radio airwaves across the world to reach new market areas.

L.A. aka Maddness lived a rough life on the move between foster homes in a domestic violence environment, but was mainly raised by his grandmother that has blessed him with great values. Although his birth mother couldn’t be the parental figure in his life, she is in his heart always for all the best that she has tried to do. Maddness for the most part had to learn the do’s and don’ts from the streets the rest of the way. He was inspired musically by Curtis Mayfield, 2Pac, and Michael Jackson. At an early age, music seem to be a great outlet away from the negativity that he has seen on a daily basis. His neighborhood held talent shows so the aspiring young could display their hidden talents. After he saw the reaction of the crowd when he recorded his first song, Maddness became very passionate about his craft.

“I’m humble, blunt, street, but passionate about my music. My diverse creativity allows me to expose the hidden truth about life through the ways in which I maneuver accordingly,” said Maddness.

Maddness won many talent shows, completed his first CD and several mixtapes at an early age. In the 90’s at an event hosted by Steph Luva and DJ Flexx of 93.9, he won $500 prize at the contest out of approximately 87 contestants at the Crossroads Night Club in Maryland. Maddness continues to travel to other parts in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia areas perfecting his performance show appearances, but now he is positioning his self to tour around the world to get his brand, Darkcap meaning Dwelling As Reality Kings Centered Around Poverty message out to the masses. The hustle continues as he is led by those that have inspired and mentored him on the path to walk out his higher calling to reach the lost through his music.
