As a 13-year-old, Lithonia resident Stephen Stafford II can usually be found sitting in front of the television playing video games or playing his drum set. But Stafford is no typical 13-year old – he’s a college student. The triple-major child prodigy is becoming a sensation at Morehouse College .
“I’ve never taught a student as young as Stephen, and it’s been amazing,” said computer science professor Sonya… Continue

In a series of articles I have written, I focused on the intolerance perpetrated by U.S. blacks toward other U.S. blacks. But the subject of this article has gone around in my mind like bits of fabric loosely sewn together with threads of memory and heartache. So rather than continue my own tirade regarding black intolerance, I decided to flip the script and discuss another valid point. Instead of focusing on the pieces, why not reflect on the whole?
Research for this project…

If you ever entertained the thought that something could control your mind and dismissed it as pure science fiction...ya have another think coming!
A US patent on a mind control device incorporated into any type of monitor e.g. TV, computer, phone and other similar devices:
And to think...a patent was issued for it! Now maybe you can understand some of your behaviors and urges that you seemingly don't have control over. This is very detrimental to children as their mind is… Continue

Fable of the porcupine

It was the coldest winter ever - many animals died because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions even though they gave off heat to each other.
After awhile they decided to distance… Continue

This is an article I wrote in celebration of Juneteenth, but I think the message is viable every day of the year, and I wish I had the ability to express the wave of powerful emotions that washed over me and brought scalding tears to my eyes when I thought about writing it. My mind flashed on my grandmother who was born in 1865, the year the slaves were “freed,” wearing her long white apron in Louisiana. I saw the fields of cotton my fiance took me to see in 2003 in California because I had…

Greetings fellow Community Site Creators, we are sure that you get a lot of offers because we do too. But here is something that deserves your immediate attention because although it will cost you $0.00, it can potentially help to monetize your community. With Ning and other site host beginning to charge us, we must come up with creative ways to earn from what we have built. We must also seek a unified way to form a Multi-Media Source of Communications that serves all of our needs and…

Good Customer Service Made Simple!
You can offer promotions and slash prices to bring in as many new customers as you want, but unless you can get some of those customers to come back, your business won’t be profitable for long. Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy – happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become…

I was eating a piece of chocolate today, knowing that at my age I should be avoiding these moments of gratification on sweets. However, the temptation of such tasty treats was unavoidable, in my mind. As I gobbled down the last chunk with I smile on my face, the portion of my mind that gives me a reality check, made comparisons between what feels good for us versus consequences for not doing the right thing. So what, I’ll get fat, suffer from high blood pressure, get diabetes or even have a…

There’s no question that American capitalism is one of if not the greatest economic systems the world has ever seen. There is also an inherent flaw in having such a dynamic and open system and that is the propensity for greed and imperialism, by those who benefit most from a system of haves and have-nots. Illustrations of this self inflicted plague are becoming more common every day, but in our contentment for oblivious thought we just don’t get it!
There is a “watchdog” agency that should…
