These are historic times we live in. As a veteran, I encourage each, and every one of you, to take a minute to recognize, and remember the members of your "OWN" family that have served this great country.

I'm asking that you take a moment to remember uncle Jack, grandpa Jett, and our proud forefathers, that did their duty and paid for it with their lives. Gather your family together and ask your elders...What did they do in the military? You might be surprised by the living history you will learn.

Blacks in America, have been on the front lines of every war, ever fought in this country's name. If you take the time to ask, you will find that someone in your family, died in a foreign land serving his or her country. Personally, I can trace my family's military history, from the civil war grave sites in Louisiana, to my mothers favorite cousin,
who's name is etched on the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

From the Revolutionary War to the deserts of Iraq, Black folk have sacrificed their lives for this country. Do not hate the player... hate the game (War)! As I wrote in the opening of my historical review of the Black servicemen in the Korean War, "Glory Honor & Lies" (see http://www.citylightssoftware.com/reporter801.html);

Glory can be found in the eyes of children as they listen to the stories of old men recounting battles of the past. Honor can be found in the recognition of a grateful nation for the extra ordinary sacrifices of every-day men and women to duty and country. Lies can be found in official reports intended to reinforce stereotypes and prejudices that deny the accomplishments of those who have earned Glory and Honor.

THOUGHT WE WOULD FORGET VETERAN'S DAY THIS YEAR?
A Veteran can also be one who fought the battles of injustice in America. Those who remain on the front line today still fighting for our right to freedoms enjoyed only by a hand full of select citizens. No ii am not sold on the importance of WARS. Or that we are fighting to protect this nation against terrorism. ii am a soldier but ii do not believe in killing of other innocent people. Let the corporations do their own fighting amonst each other and STOP USING CITIZENS MONEY and LIVES TO FUND WARS AND REBUILDING OTHER COUNTRIES. WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED OF THIS MESS. Watch this Temptations rendition of this day called Veteran's day.

Please let us never forget about the veterans. Yes I agree the US get involved in some borderline bullsh*t. The thing is the troops have to obey orders unless they can prove them unlawful. I mean I can't agree with us in Iraq but I support every mother's son and daughter that has chosen to serve our country.

They are fighting for corporations to stay in power of the

funding opportunities to make money off of uniforms, guns,

bombs, aircraft, rashions, supplies and others contracts to

fund the war machine which has absolutely nothing to do

No sir, I am a veteran, and I know what our mission was and is. See you have to watch that JimBob, we have been friends for a while. He keeps bringing topics that key conversation/debate such as this. Some call it brainwashing, but deep in my heart, because I have seen things, I feel the American warriors are the last stand in keeping our freedoms. Hassan, I have fought in countries that a simple conversation like this would have us imprisoned. I am kind of a "love it or leave guy. I have been in 27 countries outside the US and you would not believe the things I have seen. Do you know in the Phillipines you can be shot for being on the streets after 11pm? I have been in countries that if you have a site like this (China) you would be killed and all of us would be in serious trouble. I would be the the first to say that this not/no where near a perfect society but it's the best I have seen for my lifestyle. But you are not listening to what I am saying. These younsters are risking life and limb to protect our way of life. Now, the thing is they have to follow orders that they can not prove unlawful (hard thing to do). The one thing I must respect. After the slaughters in New York back in the 1860ties. The American militaryman must sign an oath to never draw a weapon on an American citizen. Marines are never assigned to duty inside our borders and the military can and will rise up against tranny here in the USA. I must, and always will respect these troops. That is what Veterans day is about. Letting this troops know we support them and all the ones that have died protecting our rights. Now if they had a "Bush Day" I would spit on it. For my young and old soldiers I salute them. Ben Ladden was no more than a scape goat. I think it is time to start the class over.

A Soldier is the non thinkers, who are controlled and manipulated by others way of thinking, CONCEPTS AND IDEAS.

 

A True Warrior, is a Free Critical Thinker and knows which Battles are theirs and which one is not theirs. A  true Warrior is a non conformist to evil concepts and ideas, a lien holder of their own conscious, think for self.

 

When our people fight in other people Wars that has nothing to do with us, killing people like Muhammad Ali said, killing people that never done nothing to us, that is insane.

 

There are more True Black Afrikan Warriors behind Prison Walls than there are on the streets.

 

What are the Black Afrikan females and males true Mission Assignment. The Black Afrikan males must come together and learn what is Diivnely right and go into the streets and teach the Young Black males how to stop Saggin, killin each other...and the likes of, helping them to be True Gods.

 

The Black Afrikan Females are to come together collectively  and learn the Diivne right thing to say and do, and go into the streets and reach the Young sister out there and teach them how to be real true Goddesses.

 

After the females and males do all that, we all come together and 24/7 Advocate, Chant Restitution, Reparations, Repatriation now, so we can rebuild our Original Home/House (Beloved Afrika), with Reparations in our hands. To not do so, reveal non thinkers (soldiers). To do so, reveals Free Critical Thinkers (warriors).

 

The generations before each generations are at fault for our people not being where we need to be now.

@Universal Divine Being IsIs so what are you saying? My son had these thoughts in his mind. No one owns me anything except my birthrights as a USA citizen. Yes we as a people populate the prisons. Do you ask yourself why? The hard facts are that most of them are there for committing Black on Black crimes (Rape, Murder, Thief, Distribution of drugs, Sexual assults, abuse).  I agree each generation should be held accountable. My generation has failed to get the message of pride across to our children because we have been to busy blaming someone else for something we have no control of.

I have not seen us fight in other peoples wars. Actually we had to fight to represent this country as warriors.

I can't believe this, you are taking verse from Hollywood? Some people have developed this dream of returning to Afrika and life we be great. The Afrikan people don't want us, they want what we have. They realize that we are no longer apart of them. They grow tired of us trying to copy them. We must become what has been choosen for us.

I have yet to see the difference between soilder and warrior. Sometimes, I say a soilder is a young warrior and to beat down the soilder spoils the warrior inside.

I fail to see why reparations, restition and repatriation has anthing to do with honoring our military men that have given and put their lives on the line for the freedoms we enjoy.
