With Ning now charging...you have to do what you have to do...to build a strong network you should remove the weakest links. I believe there are members who did not know what to expect when they joined...Others joined because someone invited them not knowing the full extent of what was going on...I believe you have done all you set out to do. Best wishes
Thanks Grand Queen for your input.
I do understand and thank you for responding.
I guess I don't know all of the advantages to commenting in this magazine, by the time I put out 4 or 5 blogs the community magazine ends up on the back burner. Give me again the assets/benefite to responding in this format.
Yolantha
WHEN YOU MAKE A COMMENT, You help to support the magazine and helps to give legitamacy to what is being presented. It show that the community is supporting their own publiction and it also helps to increase your own presence in the google search engine and your own promotional branding. The more you are seen on-line, your identity becomes a household presence and one of recognition and trust. The magazines are acually designed to help build branding identity for our members who participate. Go to GOOGLE and type in my name "hassan artiste raheem" and you will see what I mean. Out of millions, I am seen first in many ways because of my affiliation with this site.
Keeping it real: I had an unpleasant experience with one situation but all of the other experiences outweighed that experience. I also had to realize that I am talking to complete strangers who do not HAVE ANY real reason to respect me or be kind. I also realize that words typed are nothing like words spoken face to face. I was once told in a great seminar on thinking positive--that we are each blessed with 5 negative persons per day. These are bonus people in our lives. So when you are backing out of your drive way to go to work at 6:45 am and someone cuts you off, get excited--that was your first bonus person for the day. 4 more to go.

Two of my favorite things are POSTING/BLOGGING and the poetry banter I have gotten into with Mr. Bill. That has been awesome. Having people comment on my work--that would be number 3.

I promise to try to look at some of the community magazines and post.
Yolantha
Thanks Yolantha, you will diffinately be one of our base 100 Members who will have to take this site to the next level. We will enjoy each other and come to know each other as brothers and sisters. We will start all over and keep it real all the way up. We could pay the Ning charges but what for when 90% of the members don't even check in or support what is goin on. THE MORE I THINK ABOUT IT,,, IT'S REALLY A BLESSING FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE SINCERELY CONTRIBUTERS AND SHARERS.
Hi Hassan,

I think the work you have put into WACP is great; especially the MalcomX Fest! Yes, we are all busy but not too busy to stop and look. I have met some great people and their world just by taking a step into their world and saying hi sometimes picking up the phone to say hi. I'm willing to help the person who wants to learn the basics in building a website or blogging. I have yet to listen in on the radio and will do so soon. And you know I will call you in a heart beat to solve a problem and will be calling you very soon!LOL
THANK YOU DIANE...
I tend to be a skittish person inspite of my "exterior" appearances. My questions and reasoning for embracing WACPTV was/is: Where can I go and bring my ignorance and not get my soul chopped up, diced, diluted, polluted and served back to me on a rusty platter? Where can I bring my tired and bruised soulishness and get a modicum of rest, healing, encouragement and wisdom AND likewise provide the same for others? That was what I was looking for and that is what I have found here. My challenge is TRUST as well as the ability to discern GENIUS. Secondly my challenge is will "they" share their genius, knowledge, skills and resources with me. The other side of that coin is can "I" trust my genius, knowledge, skills and resources with them. There has to be a heartset change when it comes to creative people of color especially as well as the whole African American dynamic. Starting with me. I SHOULD and MUST train myself to go to WACPTV FIRST before I go to facebook. Now I can just go on "principle" of the matter but it also is invigorating to "have a dynamic reason to go" What if my resolution mantra for 2011 was to be I ONLY DO AND BUY BLACK. Could I do it and buy it off of this cyber entity? (just a brainstorm)
Thanks again my Dear Sistah Yolantha,,, we will definately be changing the format of WACPtv slightly for the new members that we recruit. Our focus will be not on getting large numbers at first but quality members who will know what we have and use what we have to offer to their and our advantage. Our Classified Ads will most likely fit into your mantra as it will be speciaized as well.
I haven't taken the time to sift through, I glanced and even as an intelligent woman, I found myself glazing over and moved on due to my attentionspan. I am very patient in real life sweat equity endeavors. I still live alot of my life in flesh and blood, so when I do come to the computer my time is very, very, limited.
